Your Impact


  • Providing technical and project management leadership on projects with an aquatic biology focus.
  • Understanding environmental Best Management Practices and advising clients accordingly.
  • Managing, planning, and leading aquatic projects.
  • Managing tasks and projects according to approved scopes of works and deliver quality reports on schedule.
  • Liaising with Indigenous communities, partners, client representatives, regulators, contractors, and sub‑contractors.
  • Providing quality and independent reviews for projects.
  • Providing an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly.
  • Providing mentorship and training for our environmental professional team.
  • Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost‑effectiveness, and timeliness of project deliverables.
  • Creating project status reports and maintain project documentation.
  • Working collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture.

 

Your Skills & Experience


  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology, environmental science, or related field
  • Technical knowledge in aquatics and fisheries biology
  • Professional biologist designation or eligibility is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of aquatic field work experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Federal Fisheries Act and other Federal and Provincial environmental legislation.
  • Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, team leadership and project management skills
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and/or environmental inspection
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
  • Solutions oriented with a pragmatic approach to project execution.

Location, Work Schedule & Flexibility


This position is based in our Edmonton office and site travel may be required on an as needed basis.


Triton promotes and encourages a collaborative team culture; with a hybrid work schedule (i.e., three days per week in the Edmonton office) supported.
