SUMMARY & OBJECTIVE:
The General Laborer will perform general repairs to the facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs general plumbing, carpentry, masonry, roofing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems.
2. Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.
3. Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.
4. Notifies manager when repairs require specialized training.
5. Performs general cleaning tasks in the facility.
6. Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION TYPE:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require work on weekends and holidays.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Excellent time management skills
3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
4. Ability to read building plans and repair manuals.
5. Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
6. Ability to follow instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. HS diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Previous experience in related field preferred.
3. Certified HVAC Technician a plus.
