Job Description:
Will retrospectively abstract Core Measure from Trinity generated core measure abstraction report. Data will be entered into the current software package used for core measures within the established deadlines. This individual will provide quality reports to various committees as requested, will chair/facilitate committees/teams as requested by the Sr. Director of Quality. Data collection and analysis skills are integrated and utilized in the Performance Improvement (PI) process and other responsibilities of the position. Joint Commission and CMS Regulatory Compliance activities including survey readiness are a part of the duties.
Concurrently/retrospectively review and abstract core measures as required by CMS
Concurrently/retrospectively review and abstract measures related to disease specific programs as required by certification designation such as TJC Stroke
Concurrently/retrospectively review and abstract measures as required by registries such as GWTG
Provide quality reports utilizing abstraction software to director and various committees
RN Quality Specialist will (participate or Co)-chair/facilitate committees/teams as requested by the Quality/Accreditation Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing preferred
Valid RN License required, preferably in the state of Delaware
Minimum five years of Acute Care Hospital Clinical experience required
Strong clinical knowledge base
Previous Quality experience preferred
Joint Commission and CMS standards proficiency preferred
CPHQ or accreditation certification preferred
