Senior SDET Engineer (Senior Software Development Engineer in Test) for Trimble Connect Backend Services Team
We are looking for enthusiastic QA Automation Specialists for a Senior SDET Engineer position to join the Trimble Connect Engineering team in Chennai, India. This position is a permanent and full-time position located in Trimble Information Technologies India private Limited in Chennai, India.

Your responsibilities will include:
Understand the flow of code and how it interacts with different components
Being part in defining, building and maintaining globally used cloud solutions
Active participation in team responsibilities and process development in globally distributed organization
Efficiently manage the product and automation code quality
Participate in reviewing functional, technical requirements and test plans and provide inputs to the functional test team on the scope of testing
Prepare Test Plans, Test cases, execute and publish results
Perform smoke testing, functional testing, regression, performance testing on the software product.
Implement processes and methods that result in faster and efficient QA cycle
Provide the project test status, estimates and metrics derived from testing
Keep close attention to the finest details for all aspects of products
Investigate customer problems reported by the technical support team, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports.
Evaluate and design performance test plans
Measure and analyze performance data
What we expect from you:
Academic Qualification: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Computer Science or IT with 60% and above
Multiple years of professional experience with
Good understanding on the role of automated testing within the software development lifecycle
Solid understanding of QA process and methodologies
Experience in automation testing tools and frameworks (BDD)
Experience in setting up, maintaining, and operating test automation frameworks
Experience in testing SAAS applications, Services/APIs deployed in (AWS/Azure)
Professional or academic experience coding in Java
Experience in developing and executing formal Performance test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
Experience in system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.
Hands on experience with Selenium
Expertise using Postman, or similar HTTP test clients
Testing web applications for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues
Fluent written and spoken English
Excellent teamwork skills but also being able to work independently
Mentor juniors & other development team members and take ownership of features
Initiative by nature and willingness to work with cross located teams, occasionally also at irregular hours
Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
We also appreciate
Experience in testing micro services
Exposure in performance testing tools like Jmeter, Gatling
Contract testing, usage of tools like Pact
