TreasuryONE is looking for a Junior Accountant to join its finance team at Head Office. This role is suited to a capable, detail-driven accounting professional who wants to build a strong technical foundation while working closely with senior finance leadership in a well-structured environment.

You will support core accounting processes across the group, contribute to accurate financial records, and gain hands-on exposure to month-end, statutory compliance, and financial controls. The role offers meaningful responsibility, clear expectations, and room to grow.

Your Role:

You will work directly with the CFO and finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and developing confidence across core finance functions. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who values accuracy, organisation, and steady progression.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the full debtor cycle, including invoice preparation, statements, credit notes, and query resolution
• Assist with VAT reconciliations and revenue account maintenance in Xero
• Maintain daily cashbooks and perform regular reconciliations
• Update and manage the fixed asset register
• Assist with VAT returns, EMP201 submissions, and statutory documentation
• Support month-end close processes and audit preparation
• Assist with budgeting support and financial reporting tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum: BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Approximately three years’ accounting experience in a structured finance environment
• Working knowledge of Xero (Pastel advantageous)
• Confident Excel skills
• Understanding of VAT, general ledger processes, and South African tax compliance
