How you’ll make an impact:

You will take a key role in accounting and compliance activity from APAC in a UK-based accounting Center of Excellence, as part of a team of two accountants, with responsibility for all aspects of accounting and compliance for certain legal entities within the APAC region.

This role will report into a dedicated regional finance manager within Travelport’s controllership function, and will sit alongside existing European and US accounting teams at Travelport’s global head office in the UK. 

Your role in action:

• Responsible for accounting and compliance activities across specific legal entities, as well as supporting and monitoring the activities of a business process outsourcer who provides accounting support 
• Responsible for the accurate and on time filing of applicable regulatory or mandatory financial, survey and statistical returns, including direct and indirect tax returns. 
• Preparation and review of complex journal entries and reconciliations during month end close
• Provision of information for Group and local audit processes

Could this be you?

• Qualified accountant or nearly qualified, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in a large, complex organization
• Knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) and Traditional Chinese 
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to define issues, identify options and recommend solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience in ERP systems is essential, whilst specific experience in Oracle is an advantage.
• Immediately available is preferred
