How You’ll Shine

Preparation and posting of month-end journals in relation to WDAP accounting and its consolidated entities as assigned per the month-end accounting checklist.

  • Preparation of monthly financial results in accordance with US GAAP, including financial reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly in accordance with internal accounting policy and ensure items are cleared as required.
  • Attendance to SOX internal controls as per Group policy.
  • Preparation and management all tax requirements across NZ, Fiji and Australia including but not limited to FBT, BAS, GST, ITR, Transfer pricing and WHT
  • Make recommendations on appropriate tax treatments and issues for various projects
  • Preparation of the financial statements for TNLA and its consolidated entities including the provision of information to external and internal auditors.
  • Preparation of Technical Papers and Accounting Memorandums
  • Working with finance teams in Gold Coast and Clark, Philippines to deliver financial and accounting projects.
  • Identify any areas of weakness in controls and recommend/take action.
  • Maintain a strong and robust financial control environment.
  • Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting your peers and managers. Support others within the team and empower each other wherever possible.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested from time to time

What you will Bring

  • Degree qualified with CA / CPA qualifications
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Strong IFRS/technical accounting and reporting skills
  • Strong taxation experience, especially Australian taxation.
  • Ability to meet regular monthly deadlines
  • Exposure to a multi-currency environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships across the business at all levels
  • Hospitality/resort experience is highly desirable
