In this role, you'll:

 

  • Be responsible for patrolling major road routes and responding to unplanned incidents with the focus of returning our roads to normal operating conditions with urgency and care.
  • Be responsible for assessing and controlling risk, providing initial traffic control, reporting incidents, assisting motorists, and keeping the roadway clear of minor obstructions to help return the road to normal operating conditions.
  • Performing routine and complex labouring/manual tasks, including the use of a range of automatic battery operated or other hand tools, under limited supervision. Work may be done in a team environment or independently.


These positions will require you to be available to work a 24/7 rotational roster.

A Talent Pool may be created for current and future permanent, full-time positions based across Luddenham, Granville, Rockdale, Mooney Mooney Depots. If you are deemed suitable at interview and a vacancy arises, you may be contacted and asked to complete pre-employment checks.

About you


You are a self-driven, safety conscious individual, that can work autonomously with initiative, have a strong work ethic and are driven to provide exceptional customer service.

You enjoy working in a rostered shift environment and want to be part of an organisation focused on making positive changes in the community and the everyday lives of our customers. You currently possess a current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver’s licence and ideally hold Traffic Controller Cards for ‘Implement Traffic Control Plan’ and ‘Prepare Work Zone’ and/or be willing to undertake any legislated or internal licensing, training or ticketing requirements as directed.

You must be available and willing to work rotating shifts including shift work, late nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays. Extended hours may also be necessary at short notice.
