In this role, you'll:

 

Join the Rollingstock Projects team within Sydney Trains’ Fleet Maintenance branch, supporting the delivery of the New Regional Fleet.

 

You’ll play a key coordination role across rostering and project support, working closely with Train Captains and test personnel to enable safe and efficient testing activities.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Coordinating test planning and daily rostering in line with agreements, fatigue management and rostering guidelines.
  • Providing project coordination and administrative support for testing activities.
  • Coordinating training requirements and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Preparing reports, briefings and correspondence for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting resource utilisation, planning and reporting within a safety-critical environment.

 

While you won’t be required to work nights or be on call, you’ll support an operation where testing occurs around the clock.

 

This is a temporary fixed term, full time opportunity for up to 16 months, concluding in March 2027.

About you

 

You have experience in crew rostering, workforce coordination or operational planning, supported by strong administrative and project support skills.

 

You’ll also bring:

 

  • Experience using rostering systems and an understanding of fatigue and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence working with operational teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Clear written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and interest in improving systems and processes.

 

This role suits someone looking to grow into project coordination, or an operational professional seeking a more office-based coordination role.

 

This is an Award RC5 Temporary Fixed Term Full-Time role until 30/03/2027, based in Sydney CBD and Auburn, with flexibility through our hybrid working model (typically 3–4 days per week in the office).
