In this role, you'll:

 

You’ll provide leadership and direction to the local government grant liaison team who are responsible for managing operational relationships with local government to ensure effective management of their grant portfolio. 

 

You’ll lead and manage as the single point of contact with local government to identify issues and provide resolution as it pertains to the management of grants, including performance and risk monitoring to support grant delivery. 

 

You’ll drive the local government grant liaison teams to work with dynamic resourcing and foster agility to focus on emerging issues and patterns in grant performance, with targeted support as required for local government grant portfolios. 

 

This permanent position is located at the Newcastle office. The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance at the Newcastle office and approved remote working.

About you

 

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience, you’ll have demonstrated experience at senior management level, in a large complex organisation with proven success in the delivery of large and complex projects, on time and within budget, with excellent stakeholder management skills. 

 

You’ll have proven experience in working with local government to manage complex project risks and issues, program management and project planning expertise in the transport industry, alongside knowledge of Government planning approval and statutory processes.


 
You’ll have demonstrated experience in economic analysis and evaluation methods for asset management within an integrated total asset management context. 

 

You’ll have experience developing and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships to meet stakeholders’ expectations and are comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivery on tight deadlines is critical.

 

You’re a self-starter, know how to build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively to drive outcomes.
