School Crossing Supervisor - Part time - Ulmarra Public School

In this Role, you’ll
Become a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers, and local motorists. You’ll also grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.
Ulmarra Public School shifts fall between the school zone hours of 8:15 – 9:15AM and 2:45 – 3:45PM, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. School Crossings require 20 hours of supervising per fortnight.
You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation, and you will also be compensated during school holidays from Terms 1 to 3.
About you
You're a community minded person who would like to contribute.
You’d get a kick out of making community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy.
You're reliable and prepared to show up for your community - in good or bad weather.
You’ll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.

Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. And one more thing! As you’ll be working with children on our roads, your willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. Don’t worry if you haven’t done this before, we will help you through the process! If you already have a Working with Children Check, that’s fantastic as that will speed up the process.

To ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process, here’s an overview of the timeline for this recruitment:
Our talent team will review all applications and be contacting shortlisted candidates by week commencing 12th February 2026 for a quick 5 -10 mins phone interview, following panel interviews.
If successful, you will progress to pre-employment checks stage.
Applications close 11:59pm on Wednesday 11th February 2026.
Applicants who successfully pass the interview may be considered for a casual position should a vacancy arise.
A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part time positions over the next 18-month period. If you are deemed suitable at interview and a vacancy arises, you may be contacted and asked to complete pre-employment checks.
