In this role, you'll:
Sydney Trains’ Tangara fleet makes up a quarter of our suburban rail fleet.
To ensure its longevity, the Tangara Fleet Life Extension project will upgrade operating systems, modernise onboard passenger information systems, and enhance accessibility features for mobility-impaired passengers. The project will also help build our future workforce capabilities, strengthen local economies and support the long-term growth of NSW’s transportation industry.
You will be part of an experienced team dedicated to repairing the Tangara fleet at either the Flemington Maintenance Centre or Auburn Maintenance Centre, Sydney.

About you
You have a mechanical trade qualification and relevant mechanical heavy engineering or maintenance experience as well as being an accomplished fault finder, strong communicator and lateral thinker
You possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.
You have proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful with a high degree of initiative.
You are capable of working independently or collaboratively to solve problems and complete tasks effectively.
