You’re a purposeful leader with extensive experience operating at a senior executive or equivalent level across civil engineering and/or asset management in complex infrastructure environments.
You will be part of the Chief Engineer’s leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide technical authority, engineering standards and asset management outcomes across Transport for NSW.
In this role, you'll:
Join the Engineering function within the Prioritisation & Asset Management (PAM) Branch, which provides enterprise-level technical authority and asset management leadership to support whole-of-life performance, risk and value optimisation across Transport’s asset portfolio.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will act as cluster‑wide technical authority for civil engineering infrastructure, such as bridges, tunnels, structures and geotechnical assets - setting direction, assuring performance and enabling evidence‑based decisions that serve NSW customers, communities and the broader economy.
You will lead the development and governance of engineering and asset management standards, applying an ISO 55000‑aligned, whole‑of‑life lens to balance safety, risk, performance, sustainability and value for money. This includes oversight of assurance, concessions and technical risk across a complex portfolio of brownfield and new assets.
Operating confidently in a politically and publicly visible environment, you will provide trusted advice to executive and governance forums, navigate competing priorities, and challenge the status quo where needed - shifting thinking from gold plated solutions to pragmatic, outcomes focused infrastructure choices.
You will build and lead a high performing team of senior engineers and specialists, strengthening capability, fostering innovation and enabling consistent, risk informed engineering decisions across all modes of transport.
This is a full-time Ongoing (Perm) Transport Senior Service Executive TSSE1A level role offering an attractive remuneration package.
