In this role, you'll:


Working within our Fleet Maintenance Team at Sydney Trains, you will take responsibility to provide assistance to technicians working on XPT cars and other rolling stock to contribute to the reliability and availability levels for the diesel passenger fleet. You will ensure that the worksite and surrounds are kept clean and that all waste is disposed of in the appropriate containers.

 



About you


You will focus on the loading and unloading of stores and equipment in the Sydenham Maintenance Centre.


Work is undertaken individually or as part of a team, demonstrating capacity for the self directed application of basic theoretical knowledge and skill, performing routine proceduralised tasks under close or general supervision.

 
All work is carried out with due regard for personal safety and the safety of others. The immediate work area is maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition


You will take responsibility for: undertrain pressure cleaning, engine room/ cooling group cleaning, general facility cleaning, delivery of truck loading and unloading and assisting other staff when required.
