In this role, you'll:
Work as an AI Governance Specialist (Policy, Process & Risk), you will develop and maintain AI governance policies, risk controls, and procurement frameworks to ensure ethical and compliant AI use.

You will develop and operate the AI risk management process, support the integration of governance controls in sourcing and contracts, and coordinate ethical and privacy reviews.
The role supports assurance submissions to DCS and other bodies, maintaining the AI system register, and monitoring regulatory developments.
Additionally, in coordination with the change managers, leading change and adoption strategies, creating user guidance, and delivering role specific training on AI safety, ethics, and compliance.
This role will provide you a wonderful opportunity to gain/increase your experience within a department that is setting the AI standards within TfNSW. It is very much a holistic role; unlike other organisations you’ll not just be involved in a singular process.
This role reports into the Data & AI Governance Product Owner/Lead. We currently have two open vacancies at this level.

This is a fixed-term flexible hybrid role (up until the 30th of September 2026). 50% of your time will be office based, with two-three days based from our Macquarie Park office, and/or Elizabeth Street office in the CBD. Salary - $158,393.00 + super.
