Payments Strategy Lead

style="text-align:justify;"><span><strong>About the team</strong></span></h5><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>The Payments Strategy team is responsible for defining and executing the company’s payment strategy across all markets and products.</span></p><p><span>We work at the intersection of finance, technology, and commercial partnerships, ensuring that our payment infrastructure is style="text-align:justify;">Optimize payment processing costs, including interchange, scheme fees, and PSP/acquirer margins.</p></li><li><p>Monitor changes in fees from Visa, Mastercard, and other card schemes.</p></li><li><p>Identify cost-reduction opportunities for cross-border and FX payments.</p></li><li><p>Manage relationships with PSPs, acquiring banks, and payment facilitators.</p></li><li><p>Lead commercial negotiations with PSPs, acquirers, and scheme partners.</p></li><li><p>Select, onboard, and evaluate PSPs and acquiring banks.</p></li><li><p>Define and execute multi-PSP and multi-acquirer strategies (routing, failover, cost-based routing).</p></li><li><p>Act as primary contact with card schemes and manage scheme programs and compliance.</p></li><li><p>Track and implement scheme initiatives (3DS, network tokens, account updater, mandates).</p></li><li><p>Ensure correct transaction setup, including MCC, flags, and routing structures.</p></li><li><p>Optimize payment performance (authorization rates, declines, and acceptance).</p></li><li><p>Balance fraud controls with acceptance and cost efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, scheme rules, and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Own payment setup, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting processes.</p></li><li><p>Build dashboards, analyze payment KPIs, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.</p></li></ul><h5><span><strong>What makes you the perfect fit</strong></span></h5><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;">5+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or related roles (Payments Strategy, Payments Operations, PSP, Acquirer, or Fintech Product).</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of card payments, including interchange, scheme fees, and pricing models (ICC / ICC++).</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience working with PSPs, acquiring banks, and card networks (Visa, Mastercard).</p></li><li><p>Proven track record of negotiating commercial terms and managing external partners.</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of payment routing, authorization flows, and issuer decline reasons.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with multi-PSP or multi-acquirer setups.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with PCI DSS, card scheme rules, and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business decisions.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-changing environment.</p></li></ul><p><span><strong>Will be a plus</strong></span></p><ul><li><p
