Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Grade 3 Stationary Engineers for projects located in the Baltimore, MD area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $40/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Grade 3 Stationary Engineer and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

 

Job Scope:          

  • Operate and monitor stationary equipment
  • Record temperature, pressure, water levels, and fuel consumption in logbooks
  • Read meters and gauges at scheduled intervals
  • Conduct routine inspections: oiling & lubricating equipment, tightening fittings, replacing gaskets, valves, and gauges
  • Assist with furnace and boiler maintenance and repair
  • Perform water titration testing and adding prescribed chemicals such as water softeners
  • Clean and maintain fire and water sides of fuel-burning equipment, pumps, screens, pipes, and gratings
  • Remove ashes and clinkers
  • Switch to backup equipment when necessary
  • Shut down equipment as directed
  • Report unsafe conditions
