Who we’re looking for

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Technology team is looking for a highly motivated person to fill the role as a Cybersecurity Data Protection Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company’s data. The role maintaining DLP technology, developing security policies and procedures, reviewing alerts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and recommend effective solutions (through implementation of rules, automation, or orchestration).

  • Customer service-oriented mindset with strong verbal and written abilities to engage with technical and non-technical resources.

  • Self-disciplined personality who can act on initiative, work independently, and in team settings with minimal direction or guidance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Analyze data loss prevention alerts, perform notification and response activities.

  • Collaborate with infosec teams and global stakeholders on new or emerging cyber threats to implement policies focused on mitigation of data loss events.

  • Support DLP engineers with testing, evaluation, and scoring of new capabilities/technologies.

  • Improve processes through a holistic understanding of event life cycle through the remediation phase.

  • Participate in tabletop exercises to prepare for potential events.

  • Maintain an active awareness of cyber threats, countermeasure technologies, and industry trends. Where appropriate, follow-up on Cyber threat Intelligence reports to ensure control alignment to current threat environment.

  • Develop, maintain, and standardize data protection response documentation following internal and industry best practices.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or up to 3 equivalent years of experience (if no Bachelor’s degree).

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in Data Security Monitoring and Response, with proficiency responding to alerts from SIEM detection and response technologies (i.e., CrowdStrike Data Protection/NextGen SIEM, Symantec, Sumologic).

  • Experience implementing controls and configuring policies for more than one DLP function (i.e., Data in Motion, Data at Rest, Data in Use, Internet Monitoring) with tooling for Microsoft Purview/Defender, CrowdStrike, Trellix, Symantec Protect/Prevent, Proofpoint and/or other DSPM/CASB applications.

  • Experience in a regulated environment and interacting with Audit, Compliance and Governance counterparts.

Added bonus if you have

  • Relevant and current Cyber Security certifications such as SSCP, Security+.

  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2.0, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.

  • Cloud Security experience with CSPM and SSPM products.
