About this role

The Assistant Manager, Service Delivery role plays a critical role in delivering product security services within the automotive cybersecurity domain. This position begins as a player-captain, gaining hands-on experience with processes, quality standards, and KPIs for the successful delivery of Requirements Validation projects to OEM customers. The role involves managing day-to-day activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products, and providing guidance to team members.

As the role evolves, the Assistant Manager, Service Delivery will lead the launch and delivery of advanced cybersecurity services, supporting our key client, Toyota Motors North America’s (TMNA) growing demand for secure solutions. This role will contribute to the conceptualization, design, development, and execution of new cybersecurity offerings, while managing a team of technical resources to achieve operational excellence.

In addition, the Assistant Manager, Service Delivery, may assume line management responsibilities for Toyota Tsusho Systems US, Inc. (TTS-US) resources deployed across customer projects. This includes onboarding and offboarding, performance management, customer relationship management, and handling escalations to ensure smooth service delivery.

•Leadership: Leverage proven experience and expertise to effectively lead cybersecurity / tech delivery teams, motivate high performance, cultivate an environment of learning and continuous improvement, and deliver by meeting and surpassing quality targets.

•Software/Hardware Testing: Leverage proven experience and expertise in the field of managing software and/or hardware testing teams to deliver requirements validation projects for customers in the field of automotive security.

•Automotive Security: Apply experience and expertise in cybersecurity to conduct requirements validation – from project scoping, requirements evaluation, test planning and execution, to design, development, and delivery of report to customers – parallelly managing and working alongside team members.

•People Management: Analyze and ascertain strengths and weaknesses of individuals team members, as well as the team collectively, to effectively allocate and manage workload, and proactively drive improvement initiatives (e.g. learning and development).

•Team Building Coordination: Lead hiring and retention strategies in collaboration with recruiting and sales teams to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

•Service Development Support: Collaborate in the development of new cybersecurity services, with the expectation to grow into a lead role for service launch and delivery.

•Service Oversight: Monitor existing service delivery quality, develop status reports, and escalate issues to ensure optimal performance.

•Quality Improvement: Identify operational enhancement opportunities, support implementation, and develop strategies to improve service delivery.

•Documentation & Reporting: Apply cybersecurity knowledge, analyze security operational processes, and create relevant documentation. Prepare and deliver comprehensive status reports to stakeholders.•Stakeholder Management: Understand the priorities and needs of stakeholders for areas of responsibility and work collaboratively to deliver at required levels of quality and performance.

•Customer Engagement: Support customer interactions, acting as a liaison for technical and business queries to ensure satisfaction and effective communication.

•Project Assistance: Contribute to cybersecurity business planning and coordination, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client needs.

•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to deliver integrated cybersecurity solutions and enhance overall service delivery.

•In-depth Technical Knowledge: Stay up to date with new security technologies and emerging threats.

•Service Development & Realization: Work with TTS management stakeholders and prospective customers to understand target markets, customer needs, and translate these into actionable initiatives to develop new automotive security services that can be marketed to clients and transitioned into profitable services.

Required Education and Experience:

•At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, automotive security, or IT leadership.

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

•Industry or academic experience working with hardware systems, embedded software, or computer security.

•Familiarity with compliance and audit frameworks.

•Familiarity with vehicle architectures, embedded systems, or automotive networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is a plus.

•Interest in modern connected vehicle systems including mobile app integration, cloud-based services, and EV infrastructure.

•Proven track record in team management and strategic planning, demonstrating leadership capabilities.

•Strong presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.

•CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification required.

•Strong interest in cybersecurity and willingness
