Your Role as a Technician

• Perform accurate inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Toyota vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues efficiently.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
•  Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs or services. 
• Follow Toyota and manufacturer guidelines for service procedures and repair standards.
• Stay up to date with the latest Toyota technology, hybrid/electric vehicle systems, and service bulletins.
• Clearly explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs to service advisors or customers when necessary.
• Maintain professionalism and a customer-focused approach in all interactions.
• Work efficiently to meet service deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Follow dealership and OSHA safety regulations to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
• Work closely with service advisors, parts specialists, and fellow technicians to ensure seamless service.
• Participate in Toyota training programs to enhance skills and achieve certification levels.

Requirements

As a  Toyota Service Technician at South Dade Toyota, candidates should meet the following requirements:

•  High school diploma or GED equivalent.
•  Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications. (Valid). Required
•  Toyota Certified Technician (T-TEN). Required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•   2+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership setting.
•   Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and hybrid systems.
•  Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, scanners, and service equipment.
•  Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
•  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented service department.
•  Willingness to stay updated with the latest Toyota technology and participate in training programs.

  All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
