The Team Lead ensures the operational readiness of the Cochrane RancheHouse through coaching, facility preparation, customer service oversight, inventory management, and support with staff scheduling.
They work directly alongside the Event Services team, providing mentorship and hands‑on leadership during daily operations and event execution. This position is part of the rotation schedule and requires availability for days, evenings, and weekends.
The Team Lead collaborates closely with the booking team to ensure event setups meet client expectations and that the facility consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience. They oversee facility quality, cleanliness, and minor maintenance while ensuring safety protocols are followed, using strong leadership, time‑management, and budget‑conscious decision‑making to support smooth, efficient event delivery.

On a typical day, you will:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally and promptly
- Lead, mentor, and support the Event Services team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, service‑focused environment
- Coordinate staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for event setup, facility operations, and customer service
- Maintain facility readiness through regular inspections, cleanliness oversight, and coordination of minor maintenance tasks
- Update and maintain SOPs and operational task lists to support consistent, efficient workflows
- Serve as the primary operational contact during events, ensuring setups meet client expectations and resolving issues proactively
- Work hands‑on alongside the team to support event setup, takedown, and daily operations
- Manage inventory levels, track supply usage, and order replacements while maintaining cost‑effective practices
- Enforce health, safety, and security procedures, ensuring all team members follow safe work practices and emergency protocols

- 3–5 years of experience in facility operations, event management, hospitality, or a related field
- Experience leading or mentoring staff is an asset
- Strong skills in event setup, facility readiness, and operational logistics
- Clear, professional communication and a commitment to exceptional guest service
- Ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Familiarity with A/V systems, facility management tools, and security procedures
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with staff, clients, vendors, and leadership
- Budget‑conscious approach to labour, supplies, and operational efficiency
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example during events
- Standard First Aid & CPR
- ProServe certification
Physical Effort and Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, moving, and general physical activity
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 25 kg, push/pull carts, bend, work at heights, and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working days, evenings, weekends, and irregular hours
- Periods of working alone in the facility
- Exposure to patrons who may be under the influence of alcohol
