What You’ll Do:
- Support daily finance and tax operations, including auto-pay plans and customer document preparation
- Maintain mortgage account info and school support declarations
- Process accounts payable invoices and support the P-Card program
- Assist with electronic payments and ensure payment integrity across departments
- Help collect outstanding balances for taxes, utilities, and general accounts
- Ensure compliance with provincial and municipal regulations
- Maintain cash handling procedures and filing systems
- Support interim and year-end audits
- Provide backup support across the Finance team
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, supplemented with coursework in bookkeeping or accounting
- 1+ years of finance clerical experience (3+ preferred)
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Experience in a clerical tax role (asset)
- Proficiency in MS Office and intermediate Excel skills
- Strong customer service and time-management abilities
- Experience with cash handling and public inquiries
- Knowledge of municipal government (asset)
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze data, and manage records
- Adaptability, confidentiality, and teamwork
