About the Role

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for handling operational issues and effectively escalating them to the appropriate departments. They will implement operational protocols, actively monitor our operations, and provide ongoing coaching to our drivers. Through regular coaching sessions, they will focus on enhancing road safety practices, ensuring proper app usage, promoting professionalism, and addressing any other pertinent concerns that arise. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Dispatch and Driver Management
    • Ensure the dispatch is conducted efficiently per standards of our operations.
    • Monitor zoning for drivers and position them according to zone maps provided by the Operations Managers.
    • Monitor performance on Uber Dashboard and escalate repetitive low scorers to the Operations Managers.
    • Coach drivers on road safety , break compliance, professionalism, and customer service.
    • Answer phones to assist with any road-side assistance.
    • Ability to analyze any road-side situation and take the proper steps to efficiently resolve the issue.
    • Maintain and evaluate attendance points.
    • Preferred experience in providing disciplinary actions, and no issues with providing write ups and coachings as necessary. 

  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Create weekly schedules with Operations Managers.
    • Ensure Operations Coordinators are providing the required tools to the Drivers prior to each shift.
    • Delegate tasks to Operations Coordinators to minimize downtime.
    • Ensure coverage when Operations Coordinators are on breaks.
    • Monitor Operations Coordinators on a regular basis to ensure softwares like Samsara and Uber Dashboard are being used appropriately.
    • Help Operations Coordinators manage parking and traffic in the garage.

  • Vehicle and Equipment Management
    • Ensure vehicles are being charged before shifts begin.
    • Monitor safety alerts and escalate to the Safety Department when needed.
    • Assist with the setup of the newly arrived vehicles.
    • Ability to maintain strong communication with the Management team.

General Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Operations or Fleet is preferred.
  • Past supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase the ability to take initiative, value collaboration, and become highly adaptable.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Be able to quickly learn new applications, softwares, and dashboards as adopted and used within the company. 
  • Fleetio experience is a plus.
  • Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance. 
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.

  • Employees must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
  • Schedules are malleable and may be subject to change. Please check in with Management regarding any changes.

  • The salary for this position is: $69,000 per annum.
