About this role

Job Summary

The Wheelchair Van Driver, under the supervision of the EMS Operations Manager, and EMS Supervisor, will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation assistance for individuals with mobility limitations, including those persons confined to a wheelchair, while complying with all applicable state, local, and federal regulations and laws, pertaining to but not limited to motor vehicle operations, and patient rights. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire for helping others, as well as a clean driving record and clean background. He/she will demonstrate cooperation, flexibility and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians and other healthcare providers, and be able to meet the demands of the job.
Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - highest completed education

Experience

  • Driving exp preferred

Certification and Licensure

  • Current Valid Driver's License
  • BLS Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire date
