About this role

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Automation Specialist is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of automated medication distribution systems to achieve high quality standard of care in pharmacy medication storage and distribution. Provides ongoing monitoring of processes surrounding the automated distribution of medications to evaluate compliance with procedures and integrity of equipment.

 

Full Time Day Shift Position, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, no weekend, no holiday required.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • High School Diploma - OR - GED completed within 6 months of hire

Experience

  • Relevant Experience 
  • Experience with Automation Dispensing Machines, Pyxis.

  • Background in Drug Diversion Programs Preferred

Certification and Licensure

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (must be obtained within 6 months of hire date)
