<p><strong>What will you bring to the team.</strong></p>
<p>The Sr. Software Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery, development, testing, and support of industry-leading software products. This role demands a strategic perspective, robust technical expertise, and exceptional leadership to ensure teams consistently deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget. Local architects, development, test, and support managers will report to this role.</p>
<p>This individual collaborates with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and clients to drive product success, while championing the daily use of artificial intelligence across the software development lifecycle. The role is accountable for building a metrics-driven engineering organization that leverages AI to improve delivery velocity, software quality, operational stability, and customer satisfaction across development, testing, and support functions.</p>
<p><strong>What will you be doing:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage end-to-end software delivery through managers, ensuring teams plan, execute, and release software aligned with business objectives and customer expectations.</li>
<li>Ensure consistent execution of modern SDLC practices across development, testing, and support teams.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Promote and integrate AI-assisted development, testing, and support capabilities, including code generation, automated test creation, defect prediction, release risk analysis, and intelligent incident triage.</li>
<li>Lead local AI adoption, embedding AI into development, testing, and support workflows rather than treating it as optional tooling.</li>
<li>Guide managers in leveraging AI to automate workflows, improve code quality, and enable continuous improvement for each release.</li>
</ul>

<li>Drive outcome-based decision-making using quantitative insights rather than anecdotal or subjective inputs.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Oversee and mentor software engineering managers and architects, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.</li>
<li>Ensure adoption of AI-assisted code reviews, refactoring, and documentation practices.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure testing strategies incorporate AI-driven test generation, optimization, and regression reduction techniques.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure support teams deliver effective, timely resolution of customer issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Identify delivery, quality, and operational risks; develop mitigation strategies using AI-driven analytics where appropriate.</li>
<li>Report progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives that measurably improve delivery speed, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ensure AI-generated artifacts (code, tests, documentation) meet organizational quality, security, and compliance standards.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>+12 years of experience leading software development, testing, and support organizations.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience building and operating metrics-driven engineering teams.</li>
<li>Direct, hands-on experience integrating AI into software development, testing, and support workflows.</li>
<li>Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other modern software development methodologies.</li>
<li>Proven track record of using AI and data to measurably improve product quality and customer outcomes.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Fluent English.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred skills:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hands-on experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and development platforms.</li>
<li>Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.</li>
<li>Familiarity with AI-assisted SDLC platforms, AIOps, and engineering analytics tools.</li>
<li>Experience defining and operationalizing engineering OKRs tied to business outcomes.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of software quality economics, reliability engineering, and cost-of-delay tradeoffs.</li>
</ul>
