Key Responsibilities
· Translate merchandising briefs into clear technical requirements for manufacturing.
· Collaborate with Merchandisers to develop Market Need new designs
· Validate designs for manufacturability, gold weight efficiency, and category standards.
· Manage vendor partners for quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
· Ensure product costing meets business profitability targets – GC Max
· Drive category growth by enabling Modern Gold share increase from <1% to 25% in FY27.
· Implement process improvements to reduce lead time and improve yield.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Prototype lead time reduction.
· First-Time-Right % of prototypes.
· Category share contribution to Modern Gold.
· On-time delivery and quality yield.
· Benchmark best practices from industry and implement innovative techniques in product development.
Language Requirements
· English and Hindi
· Regional Languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi)
Work Experience
- B.Design/ Diploma or Advanced diploma or PG in jewellery designs/Fashion Jewellery Design/ Engg or Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engg/Any Graduation
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience in New product development/Category development
- Drive for Results
- Interpersonal/Influencing/Negotiation skills
- Strong communication and Presentation Skills
- People Manager
- Exposure to various Jewellery category products
- Exposure to Market Trends/Market Analysis
