As the Maintenance Technician, on the Property Maintenance Team; you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial properties to ensure that buildings and facilities are in good working condition. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Location: 200 Avenue Road, Cambridge, ON
Dedicated Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday
Job Duties
- Performs routine repairs and maintenance on buildings, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and appliances
- Ensure that property grounds, common areas, and buildings are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Perform minor renovations and improvements, such as painting, drywall patching, or floor repairs
- Ensure that tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly stored
- Order necessary supplies and materials as needed to complete tasks
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in construction, renovations, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or other related duties
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and equipment used in maintenance work
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks on schedule
Qualifications
- Preferred training or experience in areas such as electrical technology, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, construction or a related field
- Ability to use tools and equipment necessary for maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with building systems
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- License and clean driving record as travel is required between different properties
