About this role

The Heat Cycle Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of fully assembled forestry machinery before it reaches the field. This position is responsible for operating machines through controlled heat cycles to validate structural integrity, mechanical function, and overall readiness for demanding forestry environments.

 

Location: 1556 Industrial Road, Cambridge, ON

Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday-Friday)

 

Job Duties

  • Operate fully assembled forestry equipment, driving machinery and operating attachments to verify equipment functions.
  • Identify and report any mechanical, electrical or hydraulic issues uncovered during testing to the Assembly team for repair.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Tasks require collaboration with coworkers; effective communication and reasoning skills are essential when working on projects that involve multiple team members.
  • Good level of manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination required.
  • Physical requirements include the use of strength such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during the work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending.

 

Qualifications

  • Preferred previous related experience working in manufacturing or in hands-on roles; comfortable with work that can be physically demanding.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment and mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is an asset.
