The Bar Supervisor (non-gaming) is responsible for ensuring that Food, Beverage and Retail team members (non-gaming) are effectively taking orders, handling monetary transactions, preparing food and drink orders, ensuring food safety, cleaning work stations, following required serving (ABLE) laws, adhering to and training staff on departmental serving rules, while providing high levels of customer service. The Bar Supervisor will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
QualificationsEssential Job Functions:
Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times.
Must provide a high level of customer service to all guests.
Provide a leadership role to all Food & Beverage team members.
Assist in scheduling for team members as needed.
Prep equipment and stations.
Take food and drink orders.
Ensure that all team members are working effectively.
Prepare food and drink items from recipes.
Prepare food and drink orders.
Operate cash register.
Ability to handle and count money.
Ensure proper portion control.
Ensure proper and legal serving of alcoholic drinks.
Clean equipment and work areas.
Ensure food and drink temperatures are safe levels at all times.
Stock work area.
Prep and remove frozen items as outlined.
Clean all work and serving areas (including pop machine).
Ability to handle fast paced areas.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk the casino floor as needed.
Must be able to identify intoxicated patrons.
Must abide by responsible serving and ABLE laws.
Must maintain compliance with health/ABLE/internal Policy and procedures at all times.
Complete end of shift paperwork.
Pull trash.
Ensure equipment is turned off when the department is shut down. Any other duties assigned or requested by management.
Equipment used:
Beer draft system, c02, measuring devices, Grill, Gas or convection ovens, fryers, food slicers, dishwasher, steam table, cash register, computer, credit card machine.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must maintain compliance with heath/ABLE/internal Policy and procedures at all times.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must maintain compliance with health/ABLE/internal Policy and procedures at all time and tobacco sales to ensure compliance with the FDA.
Ability to work in a lead role and be effective
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to learn how the beer draft keg system works.
Ability to perform basic math functions; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Knowledgeable of Federal/state/Tribal Employment laws and regulations.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Exposure to smoking and secondhand smoke.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined) preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and obtain a key gaming license. Must be able to obtain liquor license.
