About this role

      

The Learning & Development Specialist supports the design, coordination, and execution of learning programs across the learning portfolio. This role supports and manages content operations, learning systems, program logistics, reporting, and cross functional collaboration to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences.

This can be a remote position within the US.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Collaborate with program owners, instructional designers, facilitators and key business partners to plan, update, coordinate and deliver impactful learning programs. 

  • Manage existing training automations, enhance workflows, and build new automations to streamline program operations.  

  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement updates to processes, workflows, and automations based on data driven insights. 

  • Create, update, and deploy learning assessments; document results, track learner performance trends, and revise assessments based on data and feedback. 

  • Build and deploy program evaluation forms and feedback surveys; organize results and report insights.  

  • Operate within multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) to build courses and learning programs, create assignments,, and manage rosters. 

  • Track and report learning course completions and support end users ensuring quality, accuracy, and version control. 

  • Maintain content sites to ensure program details, resources, communications, and documentation remain current and accessible. 

  • Provide operational support to ensure learning programs run smoothly, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of learning experience. 

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

  • ​Remote role with occasional travel for program events, collaboration sessions, or training support as needed. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:   

  

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 

  • 3+ years’ experience in learning operations, training coordination, instructional support, or similar roles.  

  • Experience deploying content and operating within learning management systems.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Power Automate, Forms, Teams, and Excel.  

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.  

  • Ability to apply adult learning principles in coordinating effective training solutions.  

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues as they arise.  

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments. 

 

Preferred:   

  • Experience supporting training and development programs in Financial Services.  

  • Experience developing and deploying effective learning assessments.  

  • Experience with content management and version control.  

  • Experience with contractor and vendor management and coordination.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $67,080.00 - $90,756.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
