Job Summary: We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Restaurant Expo to join our team. As the link between the kitchen and the dining room, the Expo plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are delivered accurately and efficiently, enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and organize incoming food orders from the kitchen, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Expedite food orders to servers in a timely manner, maintaining communication to ensure efficient service.
- Monitor the flow of service and prioritize orders based on timing and guest needs.
- Assist kitchen staff with plating, garnishing, and ensuring quality control of dishes before they leave the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized expo station, including proper storage of supplies and utensils.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to resolve any issues or delays in orders.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant environment preferred, especially in an expediting or food service role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly between kitchen and dining areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and navigate crowded spaces.
