Parts Counter

The Company has about 200 employees across its 9 locations in 6 states. It has also been very successful in diversifying its equipment portfolio that it sells and supports. Today, Thermo King West and its subsidiaries are market leaders in Thermo King transport refrigeration, Versalift aerial buckets, TICO terminal tractors, Club Car commercial vehicles, Knapheide truck bodies, trailer repair, and consumer golf carts. Thermo King West is one of North America’s largest and most respected dealerships in the critical transport refrigeration space.

Parts Counter (Sales) 

• Assisting customers in identifying and obtaining items to complete repairs in a timely matter.
• Build a professional relationship with customers to obtain and grow the business. 
• Completing daily tasks such as billing, handling cash customers and finalizing SVC billing.
• Analyze our customer base for ideas on additional and or new growth opportunities.
• Positive interface with service techs, leadership team, parts department, drivers, vendors, and customers.
• Keep paperwork updated and organized.
• Communicate effectively with customers. Manage customer interactions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Answer customer technical questions when applicable or assign to proper personnel.
• Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness throughout parts warehouse area.
• Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Able to abide by and enforce the policies and procedures of Thermo King Sales & Service.
• Knowledge of automotive and or heavy truck industry is a plus. A background in parts inventory and procedures is a must. Position is responsible for taking care of technician counter needs as well as inventory monitoring and control in our parts warehouse. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about teamwork and growing the business as well as themselves.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or certification a plus)
• Required background in parts inventory and procedures.
• Ability to work with several computer-based programs including Microsoft office.
• Ability to learn and be proficient in using company’s business system program (e-Emphasys).
• Use computers for web-based training.
• Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
• Some Experience in Forklift Operation helpful
• Ability to work as a team and independently while displaying a professional and confident relationship with the customer.
• Knowledge of automotive and or heavy truck industry is a plus.
• Position may include responsible for technician counter needs.
• Inventory monitoring and control in our parts warehouse.
• Enthusiastic about teamwork and growing the business as well as themselves.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• At times some overtime is required.
• Be open-minded on change and input from peers and supervisors.
• Reliable, solid written and communication skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check for employment.
