POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Y in Central Maryland is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  The Senior HR Technology Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the optimization, configuration and maintenance of our Dayforce HCM.  Serves as a subject matter expert in Dayforce modules, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise and hands-on support to HR and the entire organization.  Demonstrates a commitment to the Y’s core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility in all areas of job performance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Heavily involved in the design, configuration, testing and deployment of Dayforce modules

  • Identifies opportunities for system enhancements and automation to improve processes and user experience

  • Configure, enhance, and troubleshoot Dayforce HCM to meet business needs.

  • Partner with HR and IT teams to optimize HR system functionality and integration.

  • Manage and support XML-based data feeds, imports/exports, and vendor interfaces.

  • Analyze HR data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity across systems.

  • Provide technical support for mergers and acquisitions, system enhancements, and reporting needs.

  • Deliver end-user training to employees and managers.

  • Identifies methods to automate manual processes

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define scope and ensure timely delivery

  • Reviews, analyzes and evaluates user needs; develops and implements appropriate system and process solutions.  Focuses on maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of all Human Resource and Payroll processes

  • Manages data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity and system security.

  • Designs and develops reports and queries to optimize data available to support corporate decision-making capabilities

  • Works with human resources/payroll and all other business lines to understand functional needs and business requirements and translates those needs into best practice system applications and process flows

  • Manages system-related activities for Payroll processes to include oversight of General Ledger interface, creation of new Earnings and Deductions, updating Organizational Hierarchy, creating Jobs including administration of formal job descriptions/grades and salary ranges

  • Manages data for compliance reporting processes and reviews and enhances existing reports and queries

  • Manages system-related activities for Benefits to include monitoring and resolving errors with vendor files, generating new Open Enrollment sessions, configuring new Plans and Options and maintaining Eligibility.

  • Manages system-related activities for HR to include generating performance reviews, generating and submitting PPACA and EEO regulatory reporting

  • Produces system and procedural documentation including SOPs

  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or business administration preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with HCM. Dayforce experience strongly preferred.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to negotiate, counsel, advise and influence others

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems effectively

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of associates, vendors and contacts
