Job Description
Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role.
This is a permanent, part-time position with the following hours of work:
- Friday and Saturday: 4:00pm - 9:00pm
We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security cameras
- Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
- Interact with customers and address their concerns
- Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.
Qualifications
He kōrero mōu ake - About you
Proven experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality is required. You must have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.
Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, is needed in this role.

What you'll do
- The Loss Prevention Officer will monitor security cameras and maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor. They will also interact with customers and address their concerns while uploading events onto the crime reporting platform.
