The Disney Legal and Global Affairs department seeks a Senior Specialist, Legal Operations to support Disney LGA’s Innovation Program. In coordination with the Legal Operations Sr Manager, the Senior Specialist will support and improve existing technology solutions, advocating for enhancements and measuring value.
This position requires significant attention to detail, stellar interpersonal skills, as well as technical curiosity and acumen. The ability to multitask is critical, as is the ability to effectively interact with clients, business partners, and internal and external vendors. The Senior Specialist, Legal Operations is energized by continuous improvement, stays abreast of technological developments especially with regard to AI, and is eager to provide contributions to advance the department.
Develop and implement optimized processes for both the Legal Operations department and other LGA teams.
Demonstrate legal technology tools for potential user groups.
Gather requirements from internal clients and develop business requirements documentation.
Configure tools to meet legal team requirements.
Develop and train AI-driven solutions that support more efficient legal operations and document workflows.
Work with the Legal Operations Sr. Manager to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and aligned as new technologies are implemented.
Ensure technology is rolled out on time, on budget, and in accordance with requirements.
Partner closely with IT, vendors, and consulting groups to configure tools and develop integrations.
Analyze and interpret data to produce reports on key metrics, including contract volumes and cycle times.
Calculate projected and actual ROI figures, including time and cost savings, for existing tools and processes.
Partner with teams in and outside of legal to ensure alignment
Implement necessary change management and process changes to complement the technology changes
Ensure compliance with all internal standards, policies and best practices
Develop continuous improvement cycle
Request new features for current tools as need be
Advocate for users with third party vendors
Regularly measure and report on legal tech value
Contribute to or lead initiatives as they come up that relate to the objectives of the department
Ensure smooth and thorough communications are flowing within the department
At least 1 year work experience in a legal and/or IT function
Demonstrated experience with project and prioritization management.
Experience evaluating and implementing technology solutions.
Strong knowledge of AI concepts and uses, including crafting effective prompts, data extraction, document analysis, and training AI models.
Regularly uses AI tools and stays up to date on AI-related developments.
Adept at collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders from varied areas of the organization.
Experience building or configuring technology tools to meet business requirements.
Ability to aggregate, visualize, and interpret data, e.g. ROI metrics, cycle times, contract volumes, and trends.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels and areas of the organization.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Comfortable receiving constructive feedback and applying it to work practices.
Proactive by nature and commitment to follow through.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time, deadlines, and competing priorities.
