This is a support member of the QA team! This individual contributor will execute testing on pre-release/release versions of applications or products, to detect and record defects; test for reliability, consistency, and reduction of product defects; and compile lists of defects or design issues found during testing. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Find and write up clear and easy to understand defects, including videos and/or screenshots. 

  • Regress defects promptly 

  • Contribute to the development of test cases as needed 

  • Ability to attend meetings and communicate with production and development teams 

  • Prioritize and execute testing from test scripts 

  • Think outside the box to identify needed areas of testing 

  • Work extended hours when necessary 

 

Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

  • Prior QA experience 

  • General understanding of mobile, console, and PC applications 

  • Able to troubleshoot issues. 

  • Ability to think critically and creatively 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Actively communicates a positive, outgoing approach to Quality Assurance 

  • Able to give and accept positive as well as constructive feedback 

  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and prioritize multiple tasks 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Coding and programming experience 

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Disney Brand 

  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience 

  • Experience working in Agile 

  • Proficient with Jira or similar bug tracking database 

  • Experience with Charles Proxy, and Windows Suite software is a plus 

  • Experience with Privacy Compliance Checks 

  • Proficient with Test Management software (e.g. TestRail, qTest, Jira Xray) 

The hiring range for this position in California is 49,800.00-$66,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
