The MLT is responsible for performing moderate and high complexity laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring quality control. This role supports specimen collection, patient flow, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

βœ… Key Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens as ordered
  • Conduct specimen analysis in Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Prepare reagents and chemical solutions
  • Process and chart lab results accurately and promptly
  • Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance
  • Maintain inventory and ensure viability of lab supplies
  • Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, and other regulatory standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions

Qualifications

πŸŽ“ Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science
  • AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification preferred but not required
  • 0–3 years of experience (entry-level candidates welcome!)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Comfortable working in a clinical setting with potential exposure to biohazards

  • Requires manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Extended periods of sitting/standing and use of lab equipment
