The US Oncology Network/Texas Colon & Rectal Specialists is looking for a Front Office Lead to join our team! This position will support our North, Central, and South Austin locations. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position with no weekends or major holidays!

What does a Front Office Lead do? 

Full-time Front Office Lead position available for our Texas Colon & Rectal Specialists, Austin clinics. Ideal candidate will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate enthusiastic and professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking while an integral part of the care team ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. The main function is to supervise the patient coordinators, coordinate coverage, and coordinate patient schedules.  In addition, must be able to participate in the training process of new employees and be knowledgeable of procedures used. Participates in Quality Improvement and assists the Practice Manager in other necessary meetings.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Supervises front desk (recruitment, orientation and training, provide point of contact to front desk staff, resource allocation, task definition, performance standards, performance feedback, cross training, quarterly performance reviews, corrective action, shift scheduling, coordinate training, changes in policy that affect their department, and interface between management.)
  • Oversee access, customer service, check in procedures, patient confidentiality, registration, and patient financial screening procedures.  
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed and are efficiently implemented.
  • Works closely with the clinical team to help manage and communicate any daily clinic schedule changes.
  • Assists in the preparation and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with practice management on problems and issues related to patient flow and operations.
  • Responds to patient complaints and concerns in coordination with practice management when necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for theFront Office Lead rolewill have the following background and experience:   

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Seven years of medical office experience.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies.   Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.  Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment.  Vision must be correctable to 20/20, and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts.  It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
