Join our world-class healthcare system as an Advanced Pharmacy Technician-Investigational Drug Services. As an Advanced Pharmacy Technician, you will join a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where the team works together for a shared purpose. Advanced Pharmacy Technicians play an essential role in the medication use process. They are responsible for compounding parenteral investigational medications, process investigational medication orders, manage investigational drug inventory and communicate professionally with external monitors.
As an Advanced Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for the order entry of prescriptions, preparation of investigational drugs, pharmacy purchasing and inventory control, disposable supplies and related activities under the direction of a pharmacist for research patients. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, accurate, and timely medication distribution and reliable pharmaceutical care.
You will also be responsible to perform any other Pharmacy Technician tasks such as compounding hazardous and non-hazardous meds, packaging and dispensing meds, delivering meds, and any other tasks set forth by your management team.

Position Details
In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work the day shift and will not be scheduled for on-call shifts. We anticipate you will be scheduled to work 100% at the Harvey campus. The days of the week that you are scheduled will be Monday-Friday with no weekends.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
