ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
The Salvation Army’s Family Violence Stream is seeking two passionate and skilled Specialist Family Violence Practitioners to join the Karratha Women and Children’s Centre (KWCC). KWCC provides crisis accommodation and case management support to women experiencing family and domestic violence, homelessness and other crises. These permanent, full-time roles offer the opportunity to walk alongside women as they rebuild safety, stability and confidence. Pay is in accordance with the SCHADS Level 5 Award.
In this role, you will provide trauma-informed, client-centred case management, crisis response and ongoing assessment. You will support women to identify their goals, access holistic services, strengthen community connections and navigate complex systems. Applicants with strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly Aboriginal women, are strongly encouraged to apply.
You will also contribute to the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment for all who access the service.
