Why this role matters
The Doorways to Parenting program operates within the Tasmanian Division of The Salvation Army Southern Territory (TSA). Doorways to Parenting is a program of the Children and Families Stream, providing a family focused program with a common goal of maintaining strong relationships with all community stakeholders and so to achieve a better outcome parents and children as well as the community.
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Case Worker to work within a state-wide team of Doorways to Parenting staff and volunteers. The Doorways to Parenting program works with a diverse range of parents and families who are referred from Child Safety Services, The Advice and Referral line, AOD Services, well as Salvation Army Corps, Doorways and other internal Social Programs.
Doorways to Parenting is committed to providing evidence-based parenting education courses directed towards early intervention and prevention for families in the community as well as post intervention for families who have children under Child Safety Services, Care and Protection Orders.
This part‑time position (4 days per week) is a 9‑month fixed‑term contract providing maternity leave cover, with duties based across Burnie and Devonport, TAS. Salary and employment conditions align with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award, Level 4.
