Support Workers (Casual) – x3 Positions

Location: Eagle Heights, Gold Coast Recovery Services Centre
Employment Type: Casual
Classification: SCHADS Award – Social and Community Services Level 3.1

Shift Availability:
This role operates across a rotating roster and includes all shift types:

  • Day: 6:24am–2:30pm or 6:54am–3:00pm
  • Afternoon: 2:24pm–10:30pm
  • Night: 10:24pm–6:30am


Applicants must be able to reasonably accommodate all shift types as required.

About the role

We are seeking committed and compassionate Casual Support Workers to join our Gold Coast Recovery Services Centre in Eagle Heights. In this role, you will provide consistent, person-centred support within a safe and structured environment, in line with The Salvation Army’s recovery-oriented service model and organisational policies.

You will play a vital role in supporting participants throughout their stay, contributing to a positive, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.

How you will make an impact

  • Build positive and respectful relationships with participants, supporting self-determination and active engagement in their recovery
  • Identify and assess risks related to participant activities and communicate mitigation strategies to management
  • Assist with daily operational tasks, including light cleaning, room preparation for new arrivals, and transporting participants to appointments
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in line with organisational policies and procedures
  • Promptly report identified risks or incidents affecting participants, staff, or the organisation to the appropriate supervisor

What you will bring

  • A relevant Certificate-level qualification and/or demonstrated experience or on-the-job training in a similar role (Diploma-level qualifications will also be considered)
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A valid and current Driver’s Licence
