THIS IS A TEMPORARY FULL-TIME SUMMER DAY CAMP POSITION

Location:570 152nd St., South Sioux City, NE 68776.**

May 27th, 2026 through July 24th, 2026

Pay Rate: Starting at $75.00 Per Day based 

on experience

SUMMARY:  This position involves working in the Snac Shac, office and program aide and general assistance throughout the camp.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other similar and related duties may be assigned. 

 

  • Work in the snac shac when assigned.
  • Keep inventory of supplies in snac shac and let supervisor know when supplies are needed.
  • Check in campers’ money to Snac Shac bank during registration of each camp.
  • Keep record of campers’ money spent at Snac Shac.
  • Assist with Snac Shac money return at the end of each camp.
  • Make sure snac shac is cleaned each day. Trash removed and floor swept.
  • Deep clean snac shac at the end of each camp.
  • Keep Snac Shac eating area clean and trash emptied.
  • Assist with office work and programming as requested.
  • Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Participate in the total camp program when appropriate and as long as primary duties are not neglected.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and devotions.
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the position.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities

 

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

They will assist in creating a Christian atmosphere and support the infusion of Christian Outreach through the programming.  Preferred 6 months related experience in a personal relationship with Christ and working with youth.  This individual must be of good character, mature and able to uphold the Christian standards and ministries of The Salvation Army in all areas of job responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Will provide on-the- job-training.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:  None required.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  None required.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:  Must pass all applicable background checks.
