Job Overview 

Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. In this role, you'll oversee beneficiaries in the kitchen while managing inventory, menus, ordering, and canteen operations. This position is crucial in maintaining efficient kitchen operations while supporting our rehabilitation program. 

 

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr 

StatusFull Time, 40 Hours per Week 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Supervision & Training 

  • Train beneficiaries on Kitchen Safety and Compliance protocols 
  • Supervise daily work therapy performance, including cooking and cleaning 
  • Provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries 
  • Ensure compliance with Health Department policies 

Menu & Inventory Management 

  • Create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System 
  • Maximize use of donated goods 
  • Maintain kitchen and canteen inventories 
  • Generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs 
  • Source and coordinate food donations 

Operations Management 

  • Monitor canteen sales and card tracking 
  • Maintain kitchen log communications 
  • Execute Health Department policies 
  • Prepare for regular inspections 
  • Coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on all operations 

 

Qualifications 

Education & Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required 
  • Kitchen management experience preferred 

Skills & Abilities 

  • Supervisory skills (oversee and train, not work alongside) 
  • Computer proficiency for inventory and communications 
  • Strong mathematical abilities for measurements and portions 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities 
  • Excellent organizational skills
