About this role
Overview
The Salvation Army’s Cambridge Corps., is hiring a Shelter Staff and offers excellent benefit package to eligible employees including:

Location: 402 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA
Hours/week: 40 hours per week
Exemption: Non-exempt
Pay Range: $15.30 - $21.42 per hour
starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications
Provide on-site monitoring of guest activities in the shelter
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment
Maintain clean and orderly environment
Participate in weekly staff meetings.
Perform other duties within the scope of the position

Education Requirements:
Work Experience:
Experience in community / residential living preferred
Other Qualifications:
Interest and ability to work with homeless persons and to develop skills necessary for good job performance
Good interpersonal skills.

What you'll do
- The Shelter Staff is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, monitoring activities, and ensuring adherence to shelter guidelines. They also provide support and encouragement to guests while maintaining cleanliness and order in the facility.
