Overview

Position: Maintenance Worker - Camp Ladore

Department: Maintenance Department  

Availability of Position: Immediate

Schedule: Part-time Plus – up to 29 hours weekly; Monday through Friday; mostly days, some nights and weekends

Reporting Relationship: Site Resource Manager  

Salary/Grade: $14.00; 71, Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

Provide technical expertise to resolve site and facilities maintenance needs.  Support program area needs as appropriate. Provide construction and mechanical skills needed for Ladore projects.

Responsibilities

Description of Position:

  • Maintenance duties of Ladore site and facilities.
  • Construction projects
  • Perform specific technical functions. 
  • Perform grounds work as needed according to time of year.
  • Operate Ladore equipment safely and properly.
  • Provide program support functions as necessary.
  • Observe material handling guidelines of all chemicals.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Site Resource Manager.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Valid PA Driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to work across maintenance and construction disciplines
  • Physically able to work outdoors in heat and cold
  • Be able to lift 100 pounds
  • Attitude of cooperation and teamwork
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Meet the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153, including the PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must possess an understanding of and support the mission of The Salvation Army and the vision of Ladore.
