Overview

The Salvation Army’s Athol Corps., is hiring a Kids Club Aide and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 107 Ridge Ave., Athol, MA

Hours/week: 2-5 hours per week

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications

 

Help lead Kids Club; assist in the music & arts classes

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement curriculum and programming that effectively address both individual and group needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning, including minor repairs, health and safety compliance, inventory control, and requests for supplies or equipment.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner, including but not limited to attendance records, nutritional reports, lesson plans, fire drill logs, narratives, and progress notes.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to encourage engagement, participation, and collaboration in support of each child’s development.
  • Assist with the serving of meals and ensure proper cleanup following dinner service.
  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned, organized, and secured at the end of each day.
  • Ensure compliance with all State regulations pertaining to health, education, nutrition, and professional development.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Education Requirements:

    High School or GED Required

     

    Work Experience:

    1+ years’ experience working with children

     

    Other Qualifications:

    • Must be self-motivated, organized, and creative
    • Good communication skills
    • Experience in teaching Sunday School preferred
    • Salvationist Preferred
