About this role

Overview

Provide clerical support for the counseling staff and program manager of the Substance Abuse programs.

 

This is a 3rd shift position and pays $16.00/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone and assist callers as needed, complete client “initial screening sheet” and file for future use and review.
  • If applicable, assist the night nurse with client care – ie alert clients when needed by the nurse for vital checks and medications.
  • Prepare client meal list daily, issue client meal tickets, secure meals for clients confined to the Detox floor. Ready clients for breakfast, escort to dining room, if needed.
  • Complete daily “team leader” report, fine in Manager’s mailbox.
  • Coordinate cleanliness of client rooms, bathrooms, day room and common areas on the Detox floor.
  • Complete laundry and clothes washing as needed.
  • Complete filing of client records – yellow and white cards on top of the filing cabinet
  • Other duties as designated by the ADAS manager and/or Executive Director

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
    • Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.
    • Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance.
    • Read and write legibly. Good communication skills.
    • Current CPR/First Aid certification or in process of obtaining.
    • Effective in dealing with the public and/or dealing with intoxicated individuals
