About this role

The Parts Correspondent processes external and internal customer orders in a professional, accurate and timely manner.

Hourly wage range for this position: $23 - $30 per hour

Essential Functions:

  • Researches, reviews, and sources parts for both external and internal customers.
  • Maintains extensive phone and email contact with vendors, customers, and technicians to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Processes orders and allocates parts to technician work orders.
  • Checks on back-ordered parts and communicates status accordingly to expedite orders.                 
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Proven experience using computers, including Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, including phone-based communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Hands-on experience operating various forklifts and completing Safety on the Move (SOTM) training.
  • Experience conducting research and leveraging multiple sources to expedite orders and meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, plan and prioritize work, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proven sound judgment and decision-making skills applied in practical situations.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals and breakdown diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical background
  • High-volume call center experience
